先日は所属しているサイクリングクラブSCM（瀬戸内サイクルメディア）主催の春吉ライドという自転車イベントのお手伝いに行って参りました。
春吉ライドとは呉市の鎌苅島や大崎下島等のいわゆるとびしま街道での自転車ラリーイベントです。
”春吉”とは大崎下島の御手洗出身で明治時代自転車による世界無銭旅行をした中村春吉の事です。
あまり知られていませんが御手洗には中村春吉が住んでいた家もまだ残っています。
イベントには２００人近くの参加者があり天候にも恵まれて大成功でした。
小村呉市長さんも受付ブースに寄って下さり記念撮影しました。
旗の左緑のダウンを着ているのが僕で旗をはさんで右にいるのが市長です。
